Our fescue grass seed is a high green tri-blend that is 98.6% pure seed.  The germination rate on it is 90%, meaning that 90% of the seed produces grass in lab tests.  Unlike many grass seeds from big box stores, we carry seed with only a 90% rate or higher.

 

As a cool season grass seed, fescue is best planted in the late summer and early fall time period. In a southern transitional climate zone like the Raleigh triangle area that we are lucky enough to live in, this grass seed can produce beautiful lawns that remain green almost all season long. You will need to make quality use of your irrigation system, so that should be factored into your decision when choosing this type of grass seed for your lawn, but it dos create a picture perfect backdrop for all seasons.
